HIGH AVERAGE

For high average a bowler must bowl a minimum of 70 games in a TNBA league and bowl in two TNBA tournaments--local, regional or national.

Bowler of the Year

This prestigious award has been established to recognize and acknowledge the Greater Washington Bowling Senate’s (GWBS) superior notable performer – Bowler of the Year, for the current bowling season. Awards will be presented to Male,  Female, Senior Male and Senior Female bowler; meeting the criteria listed below. Eligibility and points criteria (for honor scores) for determining the Bowler of the Year (B.O.Y.) are listed for each category.

Bowler must be a member in good standing (i.e.TNBA sanctioned through GWBS, no outstanding financial obligations, etc);

Bowler’s scores and/or averages must have been bowled in a TNBA certified league, a TNBA-certified Regional or National tournament or any Senate event (Note: Bowler MUST have bowled in the GWBS Annual Doubles Tournament of the current bowling season);

Senior bowlers must be 55 years of age on or before the date first honor score is bowled;

Bowlers must have bowled at least 2/3 of the season or a minimum of 60 games to receive high average points.
